Behind the Scenes at the Art of Floral Photography Workshop

Held at Abbey Hall in Eye, an intimate group of floral designers gathered for the Art of Floral Photography workshop with Moss & Stone and B.LOVED Edit Supplier Helen Warner Photography. They spent the morning making a table arrangement, demonstrated by Brigitte, the florist behind Moss & Stone, who brought a beautiful selection of Spring flowers with her. After lunch Helen did a bit of a talk about the different type of images you might like to take of flowers, composition and light, exposure basics, and the sort of camera settings she recommends for those types of images.

Then the participating florists spent some time experimenting taking photos of their beautiful arrangements around the venue. The aim of this workshop was to help them feel more confident about taking photos at home or in their workshops. Ideally helping them think through finding a couple of good locations that they’d be able to return to, to build up their social media portfolio. We love Moss & Stone’s romantic and creative style of floristry and if you’re a wedding florist who is keen to learn more about how to capture the beautify of your floral design – there is another workshop on the 4th September 2019 in London. Find out all the details about the next workshop here.
