Behind the Scenes: Take a Tour of Syon Park!
We’re so excited to take you on a beautiful photographic tour of Syon Park captured by Helen Warner Photography. We love this venue for it’s wonderfully light spaces steeped in elegant architectural details. It’s the perfect setting for modern luxe weddings and lends itself to an array of styles too!
“As you walk through Sphinx Gate at Syon Park, the beauty of the magnificent grade 1 listed Great Conservatory hits you. It literally takes your breath away. This remarkable building was built by Charles Flowers in the 1820s – it was the model for the famous “Crystal Palace”. Its striking dome allows for an abundance of natural light throughout the day , and wonderful twilight views as day becomes dusk.
The Gardens in front the building are laid out in a series of formal paths and yew bushes, with a fountain sporting a statue of winged Mercury – the perfect background for a drinks reception on a summers evening. Entering the Conservatory via the Cactus House – no introduction is needed for the stunning array of cacti. Often used as a backdrop for photographs, or even cake, the Cactus House has to be one of the most popular spots for an instaworthy photo. Heading through the ever-changing fauna of the wing into the main dome this walkway is heavily planted with an array of flowers and tropical plants – no two days look the same.
Walking into the main dome – you cannot help but look up in awe of the architectural beauty, before admiring the 360-degree views of the formal and lakeside lawns. Surrounded by palm trees, this versatile space gives you the option to create the perfect magical evening. The wedding breakfast for up to 160 guests takes place in this stunning and versatile space before partying late into the night.”
