behind the scenes ~ christine meintjes & the pretty blog workshops

Morning readers! The sun is out and I’m feeling super relaxed and happy today (if a little exhausted!) after a very exciting few days working with Christine Meintjes and Nicola Pretorius from The Pretty Blog, and I just couldn’t resist sharing a few little sneak peeks from the past few days with you!

Styled table for Christine’s workshop

Last week Christine held a two-day photography course at The Make Lounge, for 10 lucky photographers and invited me along to style a mini-shoot on the day.  I put together a crack team of talented suppliers including Blue Sky Flowers, Tempting Cake, MUA Ana Milena Ospina, hair stylist Cassandra Rizzuto, Couvert Hire, and stunning outfits for our gorgeous models Bea and Ray, from Belle & Bunty, Hugh Harris and Hope & Grace, to create an exciting and on-trend wedding look for the photographers to shoot. It was a long, but fun day followed by a quick bite at the quirky Byron restaurant on Upper Street catching up on the days advice and a few sneak peeks of the (stunning!) shots they girls captured.

Details from the workshop, oh I do love succulents!

24 hours later, it was back out to set up and style another workshop, this time for The Pretty Blog‘s Pretty Inspired Wedding Session at Beaufort House.  It was a great day with 25 brides and their bridesmaids coming along to be inspired by Nicola and Christine talking about everything from budgets and timelines to style and decor, and also treated to lunch and and a goody bag stuffed full with a heap of amazing treats!

Lovely brides listening to Nicola inspire!

A huge thank you to everyone involved, especially Christine and Nicola! I loved working with these exceptionally talented and inspiring ladies, watch this space for more to come soon! xo

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
