The Biggest Wedding Lounge Trends Right Now!
There’s been a huge emphasis on getting creative with Wedding Lounge spaces in recent years and it’s only getting better! With heaps of Pinterest worthy ideas out there, we wanted to know more about the current trends for putting together a stylish lounge area for your wedding guests and so we asked Hire Love for their expert info for you! Here we go…
What are the key wedding lounge trends you are seeing for this year?
Modern and Geometric are going to continue as a big trend in 2018, along with a pop of “Ultra Violet” as it is the Pantone Colour of the Year. We tend not to follow trends, as total interiors junkies we buy what we love that has soul, spirit and longevity. Our key looks are Boho, Moroccan, and Antique French.
What are the key pieces needed to create this look?
For the Boho look we use original late 60’s peacock chairs, sheepskins, and cushions with strong patterns. For the Moroccan look it’s all about low seating using leather ottomans, brass topped campaign tables and Kilim cushions. The antique french look is truly timeless, we buy chateau rescue Louis XV, Rococo and Regency period sofas and accessorise them with throws, furs and cushions.
What are the different styles of weddings these would suit? Or do they themselves have their own wedding lounge trends at the moment?
We don’t feel it’s necessary to match with any particular theme, but to make sure it’s what the Bride and Groom truly love, we find that you can add a Cabriolet Louis XV sofa to a Moroccan lounge to create a truly North African vibe with a nod to colonial influences. Which could fit in a Tipi, a Barn or a traditional Stately Home venue.
What is the most creative wedding lounge styling you have done recently?
We created a truly special Garden Party in a Vineyard on a beautiful sunny day, and got to use our entire stock of sofas and chairs by making lots of small social lounges on the lawns. We also had the chance last month to create a Bohemian 70’s meets Edwardian Shooting Party wedding in of all places a Gothic Castle, so a truly wow brief and the space and scope to really rock it. We’ve not see the photos yet, keep an eye on our Instagram for the big reveal.
