BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE
Weather in the UK is frequently a bit of a rollercoaster ride. That’s particularly true this Spring, so the chilly winter days are probably not as much of a distant memory as we would like them to be at the moment… Today’s winter engagement shoot will have you yearning for those beautiful crisp days again.
Perfectly captured by the fabulous Sarah Hannam, feast your eyes on this…
From Sarah – I loved photographing this London engagement shoot a few months ago on a crisp, wintry cold morning in London’s Battersea Park. The park runs alongside the south side of the River Thames and although located in a busy part of central London. It’s a place where you can get a little peace and quiet away from the city, whether walking on the embankment beside the river, hiring a boat on the lake or taking a book and picnic in the summer.
The gentle light on the morning of this shoot was absolutely perfect for portraits and the early signs of spring were visible in places with delicate blossoms, lambs tails on the trees and snowdrops just starting to push their way out of the ground. Louise & Robin chose Battersea Park as the location for their shoot as it has been an integral place where their relationship has grown over the years and I love how seeing how happy and in love they are!
“Robin proposed at the top of the Shard in London. He arranged for us to have the entire bar to ourselves for the proposal so that we could be in total privacy. He kept the whole thing a total surprise and even all the staff were in on the secret. The whole proposal happened so fast and the ring was already on my finger before I even said yes because I was so shocked!”
