This is such a beautiful concept. You have heard of a bridal boudoir shoot, right? A intimate shoot that captures tasteful and glamorous lingerie images – it’s great for your confidence, and a perfect gift for your husband-to-be or partner.

Today’s bridal boudoir shoot is a little more than that though, this styled shoot shows how a boudoir shoot can be used to capture the ‘morning of’ your wedding with some beautiful ‘getting ready’ shots.

Carolin from Carito Photography is here to tell you why you should consider a boudoir shoot on the morning of your wedding, but first, check out the photos for yourself…

“The morning of…” is all about the getting ready and the bride’s big day up to the point where she puts on her wedding dress: waking up, the final minutes of calmness in bed and the getting ready for a busy, love-filled day.

Staying close to a getting ready situation, we went for a minimalistic, down to earth approach for this shoot with minimal accessories and a clean, modern location. Neutral colors like nude tones, gold and white were combined with small color pops like red lips to stand out even more.

We chose small vendors and artists that stand for singular design, confident and modern brides and bring a lot of personality to their products and services. It was important that the word “handmade” has a meaning to them.

We wanted to show that it’s so rewarding to document theses moments. Not only because they will beautifully fit together with the wedding portraits and photographs of the ceremony and the reception, but because they are so personal and intimate and make great boudoir images, too. We also wanted to demonstrate that a bride can integrate boudoir into her wedding day – especially since everything from the accessories to a beautiful location are organised already. We have experienced it several times already that brides secretly wish for boudoir images of themselves, but don’t have the time or the courage to get them done before the wedding. Integrating them into the getting ready gives these brides a chance to get some unique images of themselves.
