Bright & Bold Industrial Wedding in Portland
The Look: Modern, industrial and loved-up. Modern never has to mean impersonal. Colourful details, a combination of textures and an abundance of natural light were used to transform an industrial venue into something spectacular.
The Details: The Jupiter NEXT Hotel was full of natural light, thanks to its stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. The tablescape was a dramatic affair with clean lines that really stood out, especially when set against modern transparent chairs. Mary Diana Designs created lush and colorful bouquets. A blush lace-style vanilla and lemon cake by Cake Bar PDX was paired with a colourful stationery suite (featuring whimsical text) created by Crave Design.
The Vibe: Bright, bold, playful and unashamedly modern. Not even the pickiest wedding critique could argue that this ceremony was in any way plain. Paris was dressed in a timeless, Justin Alexander gown (provided by Charlotte’s Weddings) which featured delicate, romantic beading and lace. Monty sported a trendy and bold tux, provided by Mr. Formal Tuxedos.
Highlights:
- Rather than a grand setting with an established aesthetic, consider an industrial venue which can be a blank canvas offering great light and a sense of space.
- A bridal ball gown can create a real sense of luxury. Think about different detailing and textures such as intricate lace, delicate pearls and elaborate beading.
- Don’t be afraid of using a strong colour palette for a bold and modern look.
