City Chic meets Urban Style
Calling all city brides! If you’re looking to create a stylish wedding in the city with an urban vibe, today’s inspiration shoot from Essex Wedding Beauty and Photography by Tarik has the perfect balance of city chic and raw urban style. Set in the slick interiors of The Andaz Hotel, and the raw, gritty surrounding streets of Spitalfields, this shoot shows how the contrasts of the city can add character and atmosphere to your wedding photography.
Formally the iconic Great Eastern Hotel, The Andaz occupies a historic building dating back to 1884, providing a stunning London wedding venue of both modern and classic Victorian interiors. Located adjacent to Liverpool Street station, and on the fringes of Shoreditch and Islington, the central London hotel and its surroundings are brimming with creative inspiration.
A city bride needs a dress she can easily move in to explore her surroundings, take a taxi from ceremony to venue or even navigate public transport! Gone is the big white dress, and in it’s place a slinky soft gold evening-style dress by Wilden Bride. In keeping with the city look, her hair is styled in a sophisticated up-do, complimented with a touch of sparkle, the neat low bun in keeping with the modern theme. For a dramatic evening look, her makeup is kept soft and dewy with beautiful big eyes emphasised with a contemporary smokey eye, and oh-so-on-trend nude lips.
The flowers summed up the urban vibe – the industrial among the elegant. The Flower Mill created a bouquet that contrasted dense, masculine plants like succulents, scabiosa pods, ferns and kangaroo paw, alongside elegant blooms like orchids and roses using soft, muted colours in warm shades of dark pink and orange, with a soft grey.
