Classic Charm in the English Countryside
Rebecca and Mike wanted an elegant and classic feel for their wedding at the magnificant Buxted Park Hotel, but also a fun, natural and relaxed vibe. They were able to achieve this by choosing a classic venue, adding some vintage touches (like the bridal transportation and Rebecca’s headpiece), loads of floral accents and some personal touches, like using Polaroid photos for guests’ place settings and using homemade cookies for favours.
Pinterest was a huge source of inspiration for Rebecca’s wedding planning (see B.LOVED’s Pinterest Boards here). Here she fell in love with Eucalyptus pulverulenta and decided to make it a main visual feature of her big day. The venue was filled with fresh and fragrant eucalyptus garlands and bountiful urn arrangements that were used in the family church for the ceremony and then transferred to grace the entrance of Buxted Park Hotel as guests arrived.
Rebecca wanted florals dotted all around the venue. The couple worked with Fig and Flower to choose their flowers based on seasonal availability and blooms that complemented the Georgian interiors of Buxted Park Hotel. They wanted elegant, but natural florals to create a romantic, light and airy vibe. They went for fluffy white peonies, pale blue delphiniums, scented stocks, garden roses and scabious.
Rebecca and Mike really wanted to involve their family in their wedding planning. Family is at the centre of their world, so having family involved in their big day was important. The couple were able to involve their family by including them in the wedding DIY; Mike’s mother made their stunning wedding cake, and Rebecca’s sister and cousin helped create unique invitations, menus and monograms. Some of life’s grandest occasions can be the most personal.
