classic winter makeup looks with ana ospina {plus 10% off}

Morning lovelies! Well, what a pretty little sprinkling of snow we had this week! If you weren’t feeling Christmassy, then I bet you definitely are now! With the festive season well and truly upon us, I am sure there are many of you finalising your Winter wedding or Christmas party look?  Today we welcome b.team makeup expert Ana Ospina with her classic makeup looks for winter, whether for your wedding day or just to feel extra-special at your Christmas parties.

Welcome back Ana!

With Christmas around the corner I am always reminded of family and our traditional vegging out in front of the TV, watching good old fashion Hollywood movies…..and me being  in awe of how groomed and sophisticated the actresses of the time looked with their glamorous outfits, immaculate hair styles and their picture perfect make-up!  A personal favourite of is White Christmas, how I would have loved to have been on set in those days, to see this technicolor bit of magic being created. The splendour of the costumes and the sets, and to have been there to see a little of the lipstick, powder and paint in action in the hair & make-up rooms!  I love being inspired by all different styles of make-up, but have to say I do love recreating a Hollywood glamour make-up.

I am so excited that brides are opting more and more often for winter weddings and not the usual May-August as was customary just a few years ago. I think the wedding season term may soon be a thing of the past as more and more couples choose to do things a little differently….and why not?  For me it is fun planning a look to go with the feel of the wedding and usually in the Winter months this means the make-up calls for more drama by way of colour then your Summer bride and may also mean you can be more daring with your make-up look.

The following make-up looks I created with a classic Hollywood feel, but they would still suit a modern and chic bride because the looks of the Golden Era were timeless!

So what type of Hollywood siren are you?  The classic red lip and black eyeliner flicks bride?

Or the plum & berry colour loving one?

Perhaps you are a soft smoky eye and nude lip bride?

Whatever type of bride you are, with the right make-up application you can look and feel a million dollars!!!

Ana is offering all brides 10% off their bridal makeup trial or Christmas party makeup when booked by 31st December 2012.  Just mention b.loved when booking, now there’s a little festive treat!

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
