Soft Coastal Tones on the Costa Brava

Elegantly merging Spain’s coastal beauty with its rich history, this styled shoot was inspired by the soft coastal tones of sunrise and the natural beauty of local landmarks.

The Location

Photographed by Inna Nova Photography and effortlessly planned by Barcelona Wedding, the team chose to start the day with an intimate bridal boudoir session playing with lace and  lingerie by local designer, L’arca Barcelona.

The Spanish sun provided a delicious, warm glow as the team moved to the seaside where our bride-to-be danced between the waves and on the cliffs showing off the beautiful movement in her stunning gown by L’arca Barcelona. The iconic Spanish coast along the Costa Brava provided the perfect backdrop to the tablescape designed by Canigueral Mesas Con Esencia sprinkled with florals and fruits for the bride to enjoy before moving on to an exclusive dinner hosted at 15th Century Spanish Castle, Castell de Caramany.

Colour Palette & Floral Design

The colour palette was inspired by the soft coastal tones of sunrise. Pale yellows, pinks, and shades of peach were combined with warm earthy brown tones reminiscent of the sky at dawn.

The floral design by Maison Francis featured florals from a local flower farm just outside of Barcelona. An important aspect of the floral design was to source flowers locally. Maison Francis created two bouquets, one with soft pinks and peach for the morning shoot and a white bouquet for the beach shoot inspired by the foam of the waves.

Key Tips

Three tips to recreate this look from the team behind this stunning shoot:

  • Use soft fabrics and lace to create a feminine, soft, and ethereal vibe.
  • Keep the makeup soft and natural so that the bride’s authentic beauty shines through.
  • Bring the beauty of the ocean’s soft waves into other elements such as the bride’s hairstyle by giving her simple beachy waves.
