DIY #10: top 5 blogs for crafting & DIY

Morning wonderful brides to be!  I hope you’re ready for a ton of DIY inspiration today!

When planning my own wedding, I loved to find new DIY ideas that I could use and interpret into my own style.  Today, I’m sharing not just one, but FIVE of my favourites for well designed downloads & printables, easy step-by-step tutorials and project inspiration.

{1} First up is the undisputed Queen of Weddings, Martha Stewart. With an elegant, feminine style and an eye for gorgeous details, Martha’s ideas always look new and fresh, and often set trends that are loved by brides for years to come.  Covering everything from invites and stationery designs, favour boxes, ring cushions and a wealth of amazing table center ideas, Marth has to be your first port of call when looking for fabulous ideas that you can borrow straight from the website or use to inspire your own versions.

{2} The Inspired Bride is a ‘how-to’ resource for planning your wedding, offering everything from colour palette inspiration to DIY projects and free planning tools.  My favourite section is the Design Elements Directory, full of free patterns and graphic elements that you can download and personalise to suit your scheme

{3} The Pretty Blog is a fantastic blog for slightly different and unusal DIY ideas.  They often team up with the most creative and unique stationery designers to offer free printables for your wedding or event, always with a clean and modern, pretty style.  I guarantee you will find at least one project your wedding just cannot be without!

{4} Creature Comforts is jam packed full of creative ideas, projects, printables, for just about everything you could think of.  From weddings, to interiors, fashion and gifts, it’s full of simple but effective ideas.  I especially love the gorgeous Christmas-inspired ideas popping up at the moment

{5} I’ve mentioned them before, but The Wedding Chicks has to be the No. 1 online resource for free downloadable wedding stationery.  A huge choice of designs (always growing) including ‘will you be my bridesmaid’ cards, invites, thank you and lots more!  The best thing is that you can personalise each design with the colours to match your wedding, as well as entering your names and wedding details so all you literally need to do is press print!  Each design part of a range of products that you will find in the Wedding Chicks shop, so if you also want cooridinating t-shirts, tote bags and more, this is your place to find it all

What are your favourite DIY and craft blogs?  I’d love to hear where you find your inspiration, perhaps I will be adding a few new finds to my must-read blog list!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
