DIY #14: chevron confetti pouches

Good morning and hurrah!! It’s time for another gorgeous DIY project from the lovely Amber of Vintage Princess!

In every single wedding I feature, the confetti toss has to be one of my favourite images, it’s the first moment you realise you’ve actually done it!  The crowd of family and friends waiting outside the church doors, pouring confetti and love over you is one of the most emotional (not to mention pretty!) parts of the day!

That’s why when Amber sent over this chevron confetti pouch DIY I just had to share it with you!  With an on-trend chevron design, and a range of six fun bright colours, these simple pouches hold enough confetti for one guest.  We say leave on each chair along with your wedding programs ready for your guests to shower you as you leave as Mr & Mrs!

You will need (makes 12 pouches)

1 x  free printable template in  red / lime / lemon / coral / orange / teal

1 x A4 sheet paper

12 x glassine envelopes (find similar here)

Tissue paper in a colour of your choice

1 x heart punch (we found ours here)

Simply print the template in a colour of your choice, and carefully cut out each label with sharp scissors or a craft knife and metal ruler.

Punch out a handful of tissue paper hearts for each pouch, and fill.  Why not try a contrasting colour confetti in your wedding colours?

Wrap the label over the pouch, stick and seal.

You could add a little bakers twine or ribbon for an extra finishing touch!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
