diy #9: hot chocolate bar

Good morning lovely ladies & gents! It may have been a bit chilly on the weather front this week, and I still can’t get used to these dark evenings, but I have a little DIY idea today that is sure to warm you right up!
A hot chocolate bar is the perfect addition to a cosy winter wedding, a festive meal or celebration. Simply collect some of your favourite containers (I’ve used old jam jars, but you could use anything from bon bon jars, apothecary bottles, vases or even old tin buckets depending on the size of your guest list!) and get filling with all the necessities for a hot chocolate fest! You can use any thing you like, from chocolate sprinkles, to mini marshmallows, caramel chips to that old favourite squirty cream (just wrap the can in a pretty paper or fabric to tie in to your scheme). I even added a gorgeous gingerbread biscuit for an added festive crunch! For an extra punch you could always add a little rum or whisky…

To decorate the jars, I chose a selection of ribbons, papers and decor to coordinate with my theme (this idea is from an upcoming shoot I styled, can you guess the theme?) and got to work making a selection of different wraps, bows and flowers to adorn them.

Pretty, and yummy, right?
