ASIA BOHEMIA
There’s something fascinating about Asian cultures, the delicate touches, the detail mixed with pure simplicity, and the spirituality. It’s also often associated with strong colours and patterns, so when this shoot landed in my inbox, and I read through the description from photographer Heike Moellers, I was intrigued and a little hesitant at what I might discover when opening the images. I needn’t have worried… this is Asian elegance mixed with bohemian style, and then some.
Using a muted palette of nature-inspired shades, this clever creative team have pulled together this style in a totally unique, and utterly mesmerising way. Bringing in natural textures and just the right details, with elegant florals and more traditionally Western touches to create what is, for me, the perfect East-meets-West wedding inspiration.
Heike explains –
The Asia Bohemia style comes from the combination of different cultures, bohemians always love to combine trinkets from different countries. It is not just a question of the look, it is also a question of the mindset behind it. The combination with the Asian details and culture fits pretty well, both styles are fragile and spiritual.
The colours are restrained, the decoration is a mix between noble & rural. Luxurious materials like slk, lace, silverware and handmade paper are set the tone for a fine art wedding, white wood and stone keep the look casual and down to earth.
