Enchanting Oxleaze
Hi Lovelies! We have such a pretty shoot today set at the beautiful Oxleaze Barn, styled by Kate Cullen and captured by Amanda Karen Photography! I do adore barn weddings and how you can completely transform the space and it’s style. The team have produced something so charming and romantic and Amanda tells us more about their inspirations and how you can achieve this look for your own wedding too!
“The inspiration behind the shoot was that stronger colour palettes at weddings are becoming more popular and we wanted to use an all-time wedding favourite – purple, and pair it with something a little more unusual that was perfect for a modern and fashion-led barn wedding – the lilac and lemon hues work beautifully with the mossy greens of the florals as well as the white painted rustic furniture. The gold and calligraphy touches elevate the whole look with a touch of luxury.”
“You can achieve this look by mixing a few luxury touches like coloured glassware and table linens with more rustic vintage elements like tables and chairs. By using clever floral choices you can really maximise your budget, for example these special carnations have a beautiful blousy appearance and come in several beautiful shades, but at lesser cost than roses. Don’t be afraid to embrace more unusual colour choices – especially in blank canvas venues like barns where they can work so well, just pair them with whites and foliage to keep the look elegant and natural. Bridal separates are a key trend continuing forward into 2017, and by adding statement pieces like this tiara you can still achieve a look that’ll make you feel extra special on your day.”
