fab find #13: dornellie
Happy Friday folks! Where did June go?! I’m super excited for July though, it’s going to be a great month and I have lots of exciting projects in the sidelines that kick off this month, so keep your eyes peeled for a few changes on Bijoux Bride!
Today, I’d like to introduce Karen Robb of Dornellie. Karen designs and creates hand-made veils, from her studio in the Isle of Wight, designed to perfectly compliment your wedding dress. I think choosing the right veil transforms you into the perfect bride, and I love Karen’s stylish and unique designs.
Karen originally trained in fashion design, and worked as a costume maker working on some spectacular West End productions, TV and blockbuster movies, before discovering her talent for bridal veils, and launching Dornellie in 2009. Dornellie is named after Karen’s grandmother, Dora Nellie, who she sadly never met but always felt an affinity for as she was a milliner!
Choosing the right veil for your dress can sometimes be a bit tricky (the two unworn birdcage veils in my cupboard are proof of that!), so as well of a varied range of veils which you can order online here, Karen can customise or create bespoke veils to your own personal design. These stunning images below show the beautiful detailing and structure to her pieces, the ultimate accessory!
What type of veil are you wearing for your big day? Would you choose a beautiful bespoke creation?
