fab find #14: rowanjoy bridal

Today I am so excited to introduce you to RowanJoy, created by designer Rowan Joy Mcintosh.

Hand-made to your measurements in the Edinburgh studio,  Rowan’s style is a playful and eclectic mix of vintage and modern, the perfect choice for any bride looking for something a little bit different.  Inspired by styles from the 1920’s to the 1950’s, RowanJoy’s gowns combine beautiful silks and lace with feminine silhouettes and just the right amount of sparkle.

A classic 50’s silhouette, I love the full-skirt and cross-over back detail of Betty.  The bodice and skirt are both covered in embroidery and beaded tulle, which gives a delicate look to this statement dress.

The art-deco inspired neckline and softly-draping skirt of Greta creates a sense of glamour and elegance.  The gold embroidered lace on the bust and waistline add a touch of understated glamour.

A true bohemian-vintage look, Lucille has a soft and graceful look.  The delicate gold embroidered touches to the neckline and waist come together with sheerest capped sleeve and soft train.  The vintage style and subtle gold touches remind me a bit of Kate Moss’s wedding style.

My favourite design, Clara is a truly  elegant dress!  The slashed neckline and low back, with gold silk and lace at the neck and waist create a dramtic and timeless look that would look equally stunning at an elegant vintage-inspired soiree or a stylish modern wedding.

RowanJoy also create a mainline collection of quirky vintage-inspired dresses, would make the perfect bridesmaid’s oufits!  Flirty and fun, I love the 50’s inspired puffball-skirted design!

They also offers a bespoke service, and will help you select styles, fabrics and details to create your dream dress, as well as outfits for your bridesmaids.

The bridal collection, and a selection of mainline dresses are available to purchase online at the RowanJoy Etsy store, as well as direct from their Edinbugh studio and stockists in London and Glasgow.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
