The team at Caravan Project Events believes each celebration has its own unique aura. A wedding’s floral design and foliage are deeply personal for every couple. The botanicals are not only a reflection of the enfianced personal style and character, but can also give an occasion emotion and soul like the notes of a symphony.

Caravan Projects paired with botanical designer, Maria Voudouri, to create a series of floral arrangements for 2021’s warmer months. Their objective was to express the lightness and optimism of the new season as the world begins to move forward again.

The team brought the outdoors in, channelling seasonality in eight distinctive and style-conjuring compositions. Forsythia, cercis, tulips, ranunculus, iris, wisteria, narcissus, nasturtium, matthiola, chaenomeles japonica and paulownia were the botanical elements in these stunning floral capsules.

The initial inspiration for this floral symphony series came from the “Story of Flowers”, a botanical animation created by Tokyo-based artist and botanical sculptor, Azuma Makoto.  This incredible work portrays the life-cycle of flowers through intricate and emotive illustration. The team wanted to bring to life the beauty that Makoto captures in his art through vibrant arrangements.

Maria Voudouri speaks about her inspiration: “One of the things I love most about flowers is that they do not settle for one place in their natural state. Instead, they rather sprout riot against grasses, sway, curl and loop, following the movement of the light and wind, and therefore often appear asymmetrical in their weaves. As wedding style is partly aimed at keeping guests in suspense, I wanted this natural movement, the dynamics of stems, and the locomotion of the clusters to be evident.”

Maria is a true artist choosing to work on each arrangement in its own unique space from which she draws inspiration. These absolutely breathtaking blooms were styled with love letters, stationery suites, delicate china, fresh fruit and little treasure troves to hit a truly joyful note.
