from the archives: best of b.loved 2012

It’s been an incredible year here at b.loved! Last week I focussed on your favourite b.loved posts, but today and tomorrow I’m going to indulge a little in the achievements and successes of b.loved in 2012 (I do hope you’ll let me!)

Today, I’m looking back at the amazing inspiration, styled and lifestyle shoots I have been lucky enough to be involved in this year.  I just love collaborating on these shoots, working with some of the most talented ladies (and gents!) in the industry and creating a little bit of styling magic.  It’s such an honour to be able to create something unique to inspire you for your own big day!

We started off the year in style, at Fetcham Park, creating two very different but equally glamorous shoots with Fiona Kelly and a fabulous team of professionals.  See the shoot here and here

In February I got to work with an amazingly talented team to create a Sparkle & Blush inspired shoot based on an inspiration board from SouthBound Bride and working with Rock-star photographer (Gaby’s words, but I’m stealing them!) Chanelle Segerius-Bruce.  This shoot was featured in You & Your Wedding Magazine in the UK, and My Wedding Day in South Africa, making b.loved a truly international brand!

And the glamour didn’t stop there, in May I whisked b.loved competition winners Kate and Andy off to Paris for an epic 3-day love shoot with Anneli Marinovich.  See it here.

On a fresh spring day, I headed down to the coast with EFC Photography and another incredibly talented team to shoot at the stunning Cams Hall.  With a fun, flirty vibe and lots of bold colours this one was another favourite, being featured in Wedding Magazine and on top UK Wedding blog Love My Dress.

As summer approached I was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to work with my wedding photographer, internationally renowned Christine Meintjes, at her London Photography Workshop, styling an elegant rustic setup for her students to shoot.  This is being featured very soon in one of my favourite online publications, so keep an eye out for my excited tweets and much squeeling!  While she was here, I also styled (and contributed!) to The Pretty Blog’s Pretty Inspired Workshop in London for brides from the UK and South Africa.

The clocks changed, and summer refused to leave, giving us the most perfect Autumn day to shoot new lifestyle images for Propose PR’s new website (launched in November).  Working with Anneli Marinovich again, these simple and elegant images are some of my favourite from this year! You can check it out here.

I also squeezed in our fabulous shoot, shot at the beautiful Nonsuch Mansion, in Surrey, and showcasing the talents of each of my gorgeous members.  See the whole post here.

To round off the year, I was asked to style a fun and colourful rainbow-themed shoot for Wedding Magazine and Wedding Flowers Magazine.  A great way to round off the year!  I got to work with the amazing Chanelle Segerius-Bruce again, and there’s more on this shoot coming to b.loved soon!

Finally (yes I know I said that was the last one), I styled a little Christmas table inspiration to share with you! Collaborating with Anneli, Emily, Liz and Lucy from the we created an elegant and rustic tablescape, that you can see here and on The Pretty Blog.

Did I say what a year? Well, what a year!!  It’s been absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Now I’m off to party the night away and welcome 2013 in style, I’ve already got some amazing projects in the pipeline….

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
