Hello and welcome back to b.loved! Ahhh, it’s finally Friday! After a hectic week of work, shoots and packing, coupled with being confined to my sick be for a few of days, I am finally off to sunny Cape Town this evening with the lovely Mr B for some much needed R&R!  While I’m away I’ve lined up lots and lots of lovely content, with a few guest bloggers sharing some of their own stylish ideas for your wedding day!

While I’m away, b.loved will celebrate it’s one year ‘bloggiversary’! I can hardly believe a year has gone by already!  Over the past year I have met some amazing wedding industry folk who have supported, inspired and kept me going every single day, you all know who you are!  The actual date of my first post was the 18th March, so keep an eye out on that day (hint, it’s a Sunday) for a special review of what I’ve been up to over the last year, and some things that I am excited to share with you over the next 12 months!  To celebrate turning one, we’ll be organising a little get together later in the month.  Nothing fancy or elaborate, just an excuse to dress up and chat with some fabulous wedding friends.  Keep an eye out for more details soon!

One of the wonderful wedding friends I’ve made over the past year is Victoria Fergusson, owner and designer at Victoria Fergusson bridal accessories.  I’ve long been a fan of Victoria’s exquisite, intricate and detailed work, and am absolutely thrilled to announce she has just launched an online shop, allowing you to pick and purchase the perfect accessory in just a few clicks!

To celebrate the launch of the Victoria Fergusson online shop Victoria is offering b.loved readers a 15% discount on all bridal accessories purchased online until Friday 16th March 2012.  Just visit and enter the code BLOVED at the checkout.

To help you decide between Victoria’s beautiful pieces, I asked her to share some of her favourites with us ~

Camellia flowers and headdress

I just love these flowers. Their delicate, relaxed and pretty style lends them to so many styles of gown. They appeal to brides looking for romantic, boho, lacy and less sparkly decoration.  Available in three sizes and set either individually on combs or as a duo on a band they are incredibly versatile, so light they will sit happily in any hair type and length. The free-style machine embroidery technique used to make the flowers is a real pleasure, so I love making them too!

Lunar Headdress

The subtle muted sparkle combined with the intricate hand beaded pattern and 1920’s influence make this headdress a personal favourite. I love the beading stitches used to create the raised settings for the focal Swarovski crystal cabochon’s. It’s a stunning motif that sits flat to the side of the head, the overall look is one of sophisticated glamour.

Hollywood headdress

I’ve made this headdress  many times and never tire of it. I love the rich cluster of mixed pearls and crystals. It always reminds me of a pair of earrings my grandmother used to wear. The design is like a chameleon, working with so many dress styles. To me it exudes old time Hollywood glamour, hence the name, and that’s why I love it.

Divine earrings

I love a statement earring. This long and luxurious pair of tumbling freshwater pearls and mixed Swarovski crystals are the perfect choice for a bride who wants one intricate but simple accessory detail. I picture a beach wedding, a long simple dress of layered silk chiffon, bare feet, hair loosely pinned up and these earrings catching the light and accentuating the elegant line of the neck.

Capri Cuff

Always been a favourite with me and brides fall in love with it too. I think sometimes brides find it easier to wear a bold piece at the wrist, if feels less risky than statement earrings for example. It’s a piece brides know they will wear time and again after the wedding, reminding them of their special day. I wear mine often

With so many beautiful pieces, I am sure Victoria Fergusson has the perfect accessory to coordinate with your dress.  To see more of her collection check out my post on the 2012 collection, or visit entering the code BLOVED at the checkout to get your 15% discount on all bridal accessories purchased online until Friday 16th March 2012.

Oh, and please remember to tell us what you chose!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
