Glacial Winter Wedding in Salem

The Story: The purpose of this styled shoot was to create a modern, romantic Ice Queen-inspired editorial. Each vendor brought their magic, uniquely designing each element and what started as a blank canvas turned into a glacial fantasy!

The Location: This styled shoot took place in The Gray Lab, a light-filled photo studio in Salem, Oregan. It illustrates how using your imagination and some clever styling you can transform any space into your ideal wedding theme.

The Vibe: An elegant feminine shoot with a frosted color palette. Lush florals combined with modern gold details. Pale blues and soft touches of lilac create contrast with the white aesthetic. Every element was intentionally designed, creating a stylish, icy mood.

The Details: Jodi Iverson Florals created modern, lush centerpieces, bouquets, and arrangements for the tablescape and ceremony space, bringing a snowy liveliness indoors. On the table, touches of soft blue from the napkins and candlesticks brought the colour scheme together. Ruffly white feathered napkin rings were both elegant and added a touch of playfulness and movement. This echoed the bride’s ruffled, pale blue gown with its timeless features such as a lace-up back. The groom wore a natural-tone tux provided by Mr Formal Portland paired with a cream, turtleneck sweater and faux sherpa fur pocket square, bringing cozy textures to his chic attire.

Tips & Highlights:

  • Floral arrangements were embellished with painted details such as foliage frosted with the perfect amount of a glistening glitter spray.
  • For a regal look on your wedding day, consider wearing a bridal headpiece such as this beautiful hand-crafted, crystal crown from Stem and Stone Crowns.
  • Letters and Dust integrated gold hand lettering on watercolor stationary for a refined, yet classic invitation suite.
