Harry & Megan’s Wedding at the Luxury Sheraton Grand London Park Lane

We have been so excited about Harry & Megan’s wedding this Summer, both he Royal wedding and also our very own Harry and Megan who won our wedding giveaway with Sheraton Grand London Park Lane Hotel launched on Valentine’s Day! Today, we share with you an exclusive look at their beautiful wedding and an interview with Harry and Megan about how they met, Harry’s proposal story and the beautiful details of their wedding decor! You’ll adore the magnificent floral arch, which makes the most beautiful backdrop for their ceremony. Created by floral designer, The Floral Editor with splendid flourishes and the prettiest pink and white blooms, and darling Foxgloves! We love Megan’s bridal look which is completely timeless! She chose a beautiful wedding dress by Mia Sposa Bride with long sheer sleeves adorned with delicate embroidered flowers which also covered the bodice.

Tell us your story – how did you meet & when did you know it was meant to be?
We met 7 years ago at our audition for college to study musical theatre, we then went on to be best friends throughout the whole of our college years before making it official 5 years ago on March 20th after a romantic dinner and evening drive to the observatory near where I (Megan) lived with my mum. We knew it was meant to be when we had been in a relationship for so long and were able to work together setting up our own performing arts business and still have fun after work and manage to have an endless number of things to talk about! We never get bored of each other.

When and how did Harry propose?
Harry proposed only eight weeks ago on our 5 year anniversary. He told me we were going out to do something special to mark the day and took me for a walk in the forest near our house (it was absolutely chucking it down with rain…) As we walked further into the forest Harry had set up slate and chalk plaques of key dates in our relationship and the most memorable things that have happened. There was then a plaque with that day’s date on it where he said we would be going to the spa (my favourite) for our anniversary. He then made me walk through the forest to get some good shots for the video he was filming and when I turned around he was on one knee.

How do you feel about being connected to such a special Royal occasion?
It is extremely exciting for us, we love the royals and it is such a huge talking point for everyone at the moment so we feel very special.

Can you give us any hints about your big day décor? Are you including any nods to the Royal couple?
Our wedding decor will be all woodland themed to tie into our engagement, lots of earthy tones, light pinks and greens, we have gone for simple and elegant as that is the style best suited to us. With regards to the royals the biggest nod will be the venue (Sheraton Grand London Park Lane), it is so grand and it is rumoured the queen learnt to ballroom dance there!

How will you inject your own personalities into your wedding day?
We are both performers and very into all things musicals and theatre therefore all tables are named after a different musical and there will be lots of special performances on the day.

What are you looking forward to most about your day?
The food and just sharing such a special day with all the people we love.

With hugs thanks to all the wonderful suppliers involved who cam together to create such a magnificent wedding day for our very own Harry & Megan!
