Industrial Chic with Copper

For couple’s looking to create an intimate wedding in the city filled with stylish details and chic cosmopolitan vibes – today’s inspiration shoot styled by Carmela Weddings and captured by Amanda Karen Photography, will give you plenty of ideas! Here they are to tell you more about their ideas and how you can create something beautiful with an industrial style setting too!

“The inspiration for this styled shoot was to show modern brides how they can have a luxurious wedding in a more urban / industrial setting (industrial luxe!) When it came to location, Brides are so used to seeing huge manor houses or wistful garden locations for this look so we wanted to show how it can also work in a really urban location such as a Central London bar and so The Refinery by Drake and Morgan was the perfect fit. We wanted copper as the main metal as we get asked by couples frequently at the moment how to incorporate the copper trend but the succulents were important too to soften the masculine edge that copper can bring to a table-scape. We wanted a pretty but dramatic tablescape to show how Brides could achieve the trend of hanging their flowers and so the idea for a greenery curtain evolved.

Throughout the design of the shoot, we kept things modern amongst the romance by using geometric shapes in the cake and stationery. The love of metallic didn’t just stop there though, the coppery gold look was also incorporated into the Bride’s style with an absolutely breath-taking dress by Truvelle at Heart Aflutter Bridal Boutique and we particularly loved the flowing nature of the skirt with this dress.  Our Groom wore a striking blue suit which was kept relaxed yet stylish with an open neck shirt, perfect for our modern man.”
