Modern, warm and colourful tablescape by Styled For Love
Good morning lovelies! We’re bringing all kinds of gorgeous inspiration to your screens today with this modern, warm and colourful inspiration designed by wedding planner & stylist Clara at Styled for Love, produced and photographed by the team at The Brand Studio.
With a background in interior design, Clara takes unusual, blank-canvas venues and adds colour and quirky touches to create truly unique wedding designs. We love the clever mix of soft pastels, industrial backdrop and textured florals that come together to create this visually interesting tablescape.
Tell us about the style + key elements used to create this look
The concept for this shoot was to create a fun, modern, and colourful scheme with textural layers. This was brought to life with a contemporary palette and luxury textures in the form of upholstered chairs, heavyweight linen and florals. Even the gorgeous exposed brickwork wall of the studio was perfect for the scheme as it meant there was a fabulous juxtaposition to the fabric on the pastel chairs and opulent floral design.
What colour palette did you use? Are there any important tips for working with these colours?
Selecting shades in both warm and fresh tones gave the scheme an engaging balance and I designed it in a colour blocking style to keep it clean and contemporary. Using strong mustard coloured plates and solid mint hued chairs gave a striking contrast against the softer blush linen and an accent of orange from the candles created that extra pop.
Tell us about the floral design.
The absolutely stunning florals were created by Amy of Bo Boutique. I had a vision of having a lush tablescape of different textured elements from the flowers and foliage to add interest and depth, and the floral backdrop Amy produced was abundant with gorgeous textures and complementary tones with the added fabulous height to draw the eye.
What are your three top tips for recreating this look?
Be confident in combining colours in both warm and fresh tones that will balance and complement each other to give you a modern design that isn’t matchy-matchy!
Talk to your florist about creating a statement piece that will pull your design together and give you additional texture and height.
Add interest to your table by layering blocks of colour and textures and consider coloured plates and candles to give an extra level to your colour story.
