inspiration #53: look how they shine for you {pocketful of dreams guest post}
Hello all!
I’m back from my trip to South Africa, and am raring to get going! Isn’t it amazing what two weeks of R&R can do? I already have a week of fabulous content lined up and ready to share with you, and today I have an extra special little treat lined up for you in the shape of the lovely Michelle from stylish and creative lifestyle blog Pocketful of Dreams. Michelle and I launched our blogs around the same time last year and she has been a constant source of inspiration to me, not just with her beautiful styling ideas, inspiration and real wedding features, but in watching her blog and business grow so successfully!
Michelle is also a regular contributor to fabulous vintage wedding blog Love My Dress, where she shares her beautiful inspiration boards. So I am feeling very honoured today to introduce Michelle with one of her lovely boards just for us!

Hello b.loved readers!
I am delighted to be gracing the pages of one of my favourite wedding blogs today and sharing with you a little whimsical inspiration in the form of my ‘Stars’ influenced mood boards.
For those who don’t know me, I am a creative event designer at Pocketful of Dreams based in the North-West and I also write a UK lifestyle blog all about providing ~ Inspiration for love, life and living.
I passionately believe that a well-defined design concept is the absolute crux of a successful and memorable event. I work closely with my clients to design and conceptualise ideas that represent them, using those ideas to create unique and vibrant events which are infused with personality and of course a whole heap of fun.
But those ideas have to start somewhere, I have written lots about how to begin defining your wedding style and gathering inspiration so today I thought I would share with you a really simple concept that is my current obsession with ‘stars’. Partly influenced by those Rodarte hair accessories in the top left image, oh how I would love one of these to adorn my hair. Le sigh.
There is something so magical and dreamlike about stars, makes me think of ethereal fantasy-worlds and it is this vibe I hope my Inspiration board today is representing, the second board The Details, shows you just a few unique touches and ways to incorporate ‘stars’ into your styling.
Enjoy and remember to always reach for the stars.

The Details
There’s so many ideas here for the DIY bride:
♥ Hang glittery stars from the backs of chairs, or why not just have these on the backs of the bride’s and grooms chairs to differentiate them? You can even use the same idea as a unique concept for lining the aisle, giving you a starry carpet of glitter and sparkle.
♥ Try out a star manicure ~ perhaps one for the maids.
♥ These glittery star drink stirrers look fab and add even more sparkle to the proceedings
♥ Instead of written place settings why not treat your guest to their name engraved into a clay star, a lovely keepsake of the day
♥ There’s also lots of star garland ideas which you can try out, from the more complicated 3D ones, to cutting star shapes out of old books, these would look lovely with a mix of coloured card and scripted paper.
♥ Finally a cute and simple favour idea would be these iced, star-shaped cookies. Fill a glassine bag with a few of these treats and tie up with ribbon.
Michelle xx
Ah, I have long been a huge fan of the mood boards Michelle creates for LMD – she has definitely set the bar for creative and inspirational boards!
This gorgeous starry board is no exception – I love the path of stars on the floor – thinking down the aisle? x
