inspiration board #12: pure pure white

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend.  Wedding season is in full swing, so perhaps you were celebrating a friends wedding, or even your own!  If so, congratulations, and I’d love to hear about your day!  I was busy scheduling some posts, as I’m off to Stockholm today for a couple of days with work.

You may have noticed in my previous inspiration boards that I like to use a lot of white in my schemes.  I LOVE white!  White can balance out bold colours, add light to dark and moody schemes, and compliment soft and romantic tones.  My design mantra is clean, fresh and modern, so to me an all white palette is the ultimate scheme!

Using layers and textures creates interest, and results in a modern, fresh and elegant look.  Think ruffly white peonies, crisp white linen and soft drapes.  Add fairy lights and candles to create a beautiful intimate glow.  Beautiful white linen invitations are blind letterpressed and tucked into stark white envelopes, and the wedding cake white iced and detailed with the most intricate textures.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
