inspiration board #13: colourful eco-chic

Morning loveley readers!  Did you have a great weekend despite the weather? Yesterday I visited The Vintage Wedding Fair in Chiswick and met some lovely suppliers who I will telling you all about later this week!

Back to today, I have an extra-special inspiration board to share with you!  A couple of weeks ago, bride-to-be Danielle emailed me to ask if I could put together an inspiration board for her ec0-chic wedding next summer.  Danielle is one creative lady, a design technology teacher and photographer (check out her work!) and her wedding is going to be a homemade, eco, vintage delight, so of course I agreed!  She is even making her own wedding dress out of vintage doilies, I CANNOT WAIT to see that!!  Her colour scheme is duck-egg blue, mustard, red and fuschia and she also wanted to combine lots of natural materials, kraft paper and doilies into the scheme.  So here you are Danielle, I hope you like it!

The bright colours really pop against the natural textures, burlap and doilies.  There are so many great DIY projects around this theme, making packets for wildflower seed favours, collecting vintage bottles and jars to use as containers for floral arrangements, hairpieces for your maids, and even the bride, not to mention the stationery and table plan!  I am loving the doily wedding dress (centre) and the added pop of colour from the lining underneath!

But wait, there’s more…  Danielle also told me she loooves surprises, and I had so much fun playing around with this scheme, that I’ll be sharing another board this afternoon!

I love it when my lovely readers get in touch with questions and requests, yes, I really do!  So if you would like some help with an inspiration board, or have hit a wedding planning brick wall, or just need some friendly advice please get in touch, I love to help!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
