inspiration board #15: casino royale

Morning wedding belles! I hope you had a great weekend, whether you’re finalising your plans for your big day this summer, or just beginning your wedding journey! I spent the weekend running around preparing the spare room (aka the everything room!) for my brother-in-law and his girlfriend, who are popping over the UK for a week or so to celebrate a friend’s wedding (it sounds fabulous, by the way!)
I’ve been looking forward to today (as much as anyone ever looks forward to Monday!) as I can’t wait to share this inspiration wth you this week! If Bijoux Bride is all about small and intimate weddings, then this really must be the ultimate inspiration, oh yeh, it’s Vegas baby! When anyone says elopement wedding to me, my immediate thought is Vegas, the Little White Wedding Chapel, ceremony conducted by Elvis, or some other colourful character, followed by the bright lights of the Las Vegas strip and the casino’s. But what if you love the idea of Vegas, but aren’t so keen on the actual reality? Let’s be honest, getting married in Vegas isn’t for us all! How about bringing a little bit of Vegas style to your wedding day? I’m thinking The Bellagio rather than the In ‘n Out Chapel. A glamorous, sexy fishtail wedding gown for the bride, maids in satin floor-length dresses, the groom and groomsmen in black, or even white-tie? Think Ocean’s Eleven, a glamorous bride, and suave groom. Cigar favours for the men, and something sparkly for the ladies, poker card stationery, a roulette wheel, and champagne and canapés served by the most impeccable and slick waiters. You could even incorporate the bright lights with a custom neon sign of your initials!
