inspiration board #18: sand dunes & salty air

Morning lovelies, hope you all had a great weekend despite the downpours?  I holed up indoors with Mr B and spent some time catching up on all those things that never get done when the sun’s shining, like replying to emails and a bit of DIY.  I’ve also been working on a couple of tweaks to Bijoux Bride, you might notice I’ve updated my ‘widgets’  on the right hand side with some new and pretty banners!

Despite the downpours, a lovely email from BHLDN brightened up my weekend.  Anything from this team of trendy people makes me smile, and this week’s email full of seaside wedding  inspiration was no different.  Sun, sea & sand is just the antidote to a wet weekend!  So, I’m sharing dreams of sand dunes and salty air with you today, I hope it brightens up your Monday morning!

Clean, crisp white, soft seafoam green and turquoise create a really calming atmosphere.  Adding a touch of the softest blush pink slightly lifts the scheme.  Throw in some beautiful, sculptural shells and driftwood to add some texture and interest.  The dress is super simple, maybe a touch of lace, and made of the lightest material to gently catch the breeze.  The train should just touch the sand, and the bride is always barefoot! I love the message in a bottle favours, a great idea for an intimate wedding, you could write each guest an individual note!  Or if you have a bigger wedding party, how about popping the story of your relationship inside?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
