inspiration board #22: birds of a feather

Good morning lovely people!  What did you get up to this weekend?  Wedding plans or DIY projects?  Or maybe you had a weekend’s rest spending time with friends and family?

I started a new feature this weekend called Sunday Sweetness!  A round-up of my favourite five intimate weddings from around the blogosphere this week?  Did you see it?  Be sure to check out some of the links for some beautiful bijoux inspiration!

Today’s inspiration comes from this pretty feather stationery suite I’ve had my eye on for quite a while.  I love guinea fowl feathers (I almost included them in my own wedding!) so this sweet set caught my eye straight away.  Not only is it completely gorgeous, but they are DIY!  Yup, bride Elizabeth from pretty Danish blog Pretty Chic crafted these beauties herself! Wow, right? I also have to say I love how the images have been styled with the litle feather & button details.  Swoon.

Anway enough of my rambling, let me tell you about this board!  Love birds have been a popular wedding theme for a while now, but feathers not so much.  So for a subtle and pretty take why not include soft feather details in the your groom’s boutonniere, or in your bouquet?  I love the flapper-style ostrich feather headband from Twigs & Honey!  The romantic pewter & blush colours work so beautifully with the delicate feathers, a creating a sense of elegance and calm.  The sparkly bird earrings from BHLDN add a delicate touch of glamour.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
