inspiration board #35: boy meets girl
Happy Monday! I’m full of energy today and ready for the week ahead! I was styling a gorgeous shoot yesterday, that will be gracing these pages very soon, full of beautiful and achievable ideas for your wedding! This Thursday I am off to the wonderful Fetcham Park (yes, again, it’s becoming rather like a second home ;)) for an industry event organised by Weddings In Surrey. With over 150 top wedding pro’s from all over Surrey and the South East attending, it’s sure to be a busy evening of introductions and catching up with friends, I can’t wait!
On top of all that I booked my ticket for the Wedding Ideas Awards in January! With some of my favourite suppliers in the running, and the awards run by one of the top magazines in the UK, it’s sure to be a great evening! The best thing about the awards is that they are voted for by YOU! Real brides. So, if you would like to see some of your favourite wedding people scoop a covetable award, make sure you head on over to Wedding Ideas Magazine and vote for them now!
On with today’s inspiration, and I wanted to share a really pretty theme that really gets to the heart of what marriage is all about. Combining pink and blue to represent you and your hubby to be, is a really cute way to fulfill all those princess wedding fantasies from your childhood. Unlike those childhood dreams, these colours don’t have to be too sickly sweet, combine different pastely and dusky tones with crisp and contemporary white and splashes of silver to create a more grown up version. For a couple with a sweet relationship history, how about a story book invitation, like this one from talented South African Photographer Christine Meintjes (found via CapClassique) Add touches reminiscent of childhood with straws and candy tables, ribbon and lace.
All you need is a big tulle princess dress to make all your dreams come true :)
