inspiration board #38: winter sparkle

Good morning lovely ladies, hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend!

I woke up on Saturday to be faced with no internet (eeek, no blogging!) so after a mild panic, made the most of the novelty of a connection-free morning to prepare some of the lovely crafty goodies I will be sending as part of my Curiosity Project Box.  If you haven’t heard of this fab project I urge you to go and find out all about it!  A gift-exchange for creative and crafty people it’s a really lovely way to connect with like-minded lovelies, and excercise some of those old-fashioned gift making skills.  I’ve really enjoyed putting my box together, and can’t wait to hear what my recipient thinks of it!

With a definite chill in the air this week, my thoughts are turning to winter.  With the dream of a magical dusting of powder white snow, winter weddings are the choice of a true romantic.  The sparkle and shimmer of snow settling on bare branches, the glistening mist of a frosty winter’s morning and the cold blue sky provide the perfect inspiration.  The bride, wrapped up against the cold in a pure white fur cape, carrying soft, silvery dusty miller, silver brunia and the whitest blooms creating a crisp and modern bouquet. Using silver, white and the lightest touch of blue in the reception decor mirrors the winter wonderland outside.  Chandeliers and jewels add glamour and sparkle.

Are you planning a winter wedding?  Perhaps you’re getting married this December or January and are hoping for a sprinkling of the white stuff?  I’d love to hear all about your day, why not leave a comment below?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
