inspiration board #63: diamond jubilee
Good morning b.loved readers! Did you have a wonderful weekend wherever you are? I am currently spending my weekend’s working away on improving and growing b.loved, typing away on my computer with the sun shining in and the lovely Mr B bringing tea and refreshments. You can read a little more about what’s going on behind the scenes in this weekend’s post, a first for me, a personal post on finding my focus.
With just a couple of weeks to go until the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, I thought it was about time I shared a little royal inspiration with you! Taking inspiration from the opulence and grandeur of splendid royal occasions, with a splash of contemporary style and a hint of subtle sparkle, the overall scheme is romantic, delicate and elegant. Setting the tone of the occasion is intricately designed stationery, in bold metallics. The absolutely stunning Anemone by Kirsty Kelly is a dress worthy of any royal, with it’s frothy, full princess skirt and softly ruched bodice showing off a tiny waist accessorized with an heirloom sash of pearls, lace and diamonds. Of course, the bride’s outfit would not be complete without a dainty tiara, this ornate Swarovski crystal headband from Twigs & Honey is just perfect (and you don’t need to be a royal to afford it!) The opulence continues with a ballroom reception, tables laden with beautiful blooms, candelabra and soft lighting, with antique silver and vintage glassware adding pretty, ornate details.
