inspiration board #72: on cloud nine

Morning lovelies! What a beautiful weekend here in the South of England, I hope the sun was shining wherever you were?  It’s been a super busy, creative and exciting week this week at b.loved HQ, working with Christine Meintjes styling a shoot for her two-day photography workshop at The Make Lounge, and then working with Christine and her colleague Nicola from The Pretty Blog to host their Pretty Inspired Wedding Session 2012 at Beaufort House in London.  It was a very successful few days, and I can’t wait to share Christine’s images of the two days with you soon!  In the meantime, check out yesterday’s post for a few sneak peeks!

Today I’m sharing some very dreamy inspiration, it’s soft and romantic without a hint of pink, but instead lots of beautiful fluffy, cloud-like textures to create a modern but feminine style.  Gypsophelia (baby’s breath to you and me) has at long last shed it’s reputation as a gas station filler flower, and come into it’s own as a beautiful flower used to create gorgeous texture.  Used simply tied as a bouquet for your bridesmaids it makes an instant impact, and is a pretty budget-friendly option too.Combine a little with other white and soft green flowers and foliage for the brides bouquet, for something a little more special.  I love the idea of playing with the voluminous nature of this pretty flower with tulle and netting, think poufy veils teamed with an elegant and streamlined dress for a little wow-factor as you walk down the aisle.  I adore these tulle pompom shoes from BHLDN,  just the right amount of detail for this look, and this cute tutorial from Martha Stewart will help you make matching pompoms for your favourite girls to wear in their hair.   Oh, and just how cute is that little flower girl with her poufy tulle skirt? She’s just darling!  For the stationery, we’re going classic and elegant in white and grey tones, but with pretty details like twine and cut out hearts adding a romantic touch.  Talking of volume, how could I resist sharing this stunning cake, the oversized petals and ruffles bringing the whole theme together.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
