inspiration board #75: kraft & neon

Good morning my b.loved lovelies!  What a brilliant weekend to end the Olympics! Sun shining, a few more golds to our tally, and the most spectacular, crazy & truly British closing ceremony! Were you secretly looking forward to the Spice Girls? Oh, I was and they did us proud! Here’s for a new generation of Girl Power!

Today’s board is a representation of modern girl power, the girly pinks and neon brights, clean lines and kraft paper accents creating a cool contemporary look with feminine attitude!  Wouldn’t this just be such a fun wedding theme, perhaps at a cool and contemporary city venue?  Tease your guests with just a hint of neon string on the invites, and add a few neon accessories to your ceremony look with a statement necklace and, of course, the shoes!  Bring your ‘maids in on the action with contrasting dresses or for a really modern twist, white tops and brightly coloured skirts with bold & bright accessories.  Use kraft paper as a neutral base to make your neon accents really pop!  This is the most amazing theme for a crafty bride – take inspiration from uber-trendy stylist Jesi Haack, and wrap tins and vases in kraft paper and add your neon twist with washi tape and flowers, keep place settings simple and add a splash of colour with a favour!  This oh-so-effective neon cake from Martha Stewart Weddings looks like a traditional white wedding cake from afar, but move closer and you get a shocking flash of pink! LOVE!  Oh, and of course I couldn’t create a bright board without including my newest fave wedding prop, a giant balloon filled with confetti from the clever people over at BonBon Balloons!

Dare you go neon?!

Louise

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
