inspiration board #83: berry & blush

Morning pretty ones! Well we’re finally packed and almost ready to go, just the last few boxes waiting to be filled and then fingers crossed on Friday we will get the keys to our new home, and the new b.loved HQ!!  Things may be a little quieter on my twitter and facebook feeds, but I have a whole heap of loveliness scheduled and ready to share! From an Anthropologie-inspired love shoot to an African bushveld wedding that is pure perfection, there’s so much to keep you busy you won’t even miss me. Well, maybe a bit ;)

Shall we get started? This morning’s mood board is inspired by the changing seasons, as the summer sun fades away we need a little warmth and richness to get us through the days.  As much as I love the glowing oranges and golds of autumn, my favourite colours of the season are rich berry, grape and plum.  Combining these rich shades with a hint of blush pink creates a romantic and feminine palette perfect for late summer and early autumn weddings when the afternoon sun creates a beautiful soft glow.  This scheme is more antique than vintage, polished dressers and silver candlesticks adding a timeless feel to an otherwise contemporary scheme.  Antique props and furniture add a worn and much-loved element, elegant, without being rustic.  Berry colours are weaved throughout the day, from the stationery – I am so in love with this design from Ruby & Willow, the perfect combination of traditional patterns and modern flair – to the richly coloured purple-hued flowers that contrast beautifully with the softer pink tones of the bridesmaids and bride’s dresses.  This style would work perfectly for a lunchtime or afternoon wedding, held outdoors and a relaxed and intimate atmosphere created by using more informal table arrangements, perhaps even a buffet, and serving berry-flavoured ice creams for that last reminder of summer.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.

Gorgeous board, Louise! This is by far one of my favourite colour combinations, one I only discovered I liked when I got married. I’m very much of a minimalist type of person (expected when you come from Milan, I guess?!), but I ended up with a blush dress, which is something I never thought I’d do. The warmth in these tones is perfect for a wedding!

Hope your move goes well hun!
xx Betta
