inspiration board #93: emerald & mint

Morning lovelies! It was lovely to see the sun come out this weekend in London! As I sat writing this week’s posts, the low winter light was bouncing off the windows of the houses around me creating the most beautiful reflections. And you know, by now, that sunshine makes me happy!
It’s fair to say I have a bit of an obsession with emerald right now, perhaps it’s rich jewel-like hue is just what’s needed after the last few weeks of snow and sub-zero temperatures. Whatever it is I just can’t stop coming up with ideas for new inspiration boards pairing up this colour. Before Christmas I experimented with emerald & cranberry for a festive theme with a boho twist, and last week I coupled emerald & gold to create a chic & elegant theme which would suit a black-tie wedding. This week, I’m thinking early spring with an emerald & mint colour palette combining different shades of green and white. This look is calm and relaxed, with the soft and elegant florals providing a natural touch I can see this in a garden setting with pretty styled tables set up in the shade of leafy green trees. Keeping the relaxed feel, guests are served mint lemonade, straight from the bottle, with mini-cakes adorning each setting. Decor is kept simple and minimal, with perhaps a few jade-coloured trinkets adding a personal touch. A hint of glamour comes from the jewels, well, it is emerald after all!
