inspiration board #21: peach, plum & vintage lace

Good morning! How are you all this Monday? I have whole host of lovely wedding gorgeousness to share with you this week, I can’t wait!
When Kate Middleton wore her elegant lace Alexander McQueen wedding dress earlier this year, the industry predicted a huge trend in lace for all you lovely 2011/2012 brides to be. The new bridal collections are embracing this trend, incorporating the most intricate, feminine vintage and modern lace into their collections. I love this trend, and can’t wait to see how you all include beautiful lace details throughout your day!
Today’s inspiration board embraces our love of lace, in a modern vintage-inspired scheme. With the soft ivory and creamy tones of vintage lace, a soft peach and plum palette work beautifully to create a sophisticated and elegant feel. Lace is delicate and pretty, so you can get away with including it in lots of different ways without it becoming too much, perhaps just add a touch of plum ribbon to add some depth. I love the delicate french lace and tulle of the veil, a soft and pretty daytime look for a bride, which can be carried through to the evening reception using the sheerest lace table runners. The cute mini jam-jar votives would be such a simple and pretty DIY project, and add a beautiful glow to your tables.
