it’s all in the details: covetable wedding shoes {guest post}

Good morning and hello lovelies! Well as I count down my final few days of holiday here in Cape Town, I hope you have all been enjoying the wedding pretty over the last couple of weeks?

Today’s dose of pretty comes from one of my favourite blogging ladies, the lovely Anna of Anna and the Ring fame, and now of brand new wedding blog Far from the Wedding Crowd that launched on 1st March!  Any lady looking for stylish and glamorous finds, witty words, and honesty about weddings and marriage show follow now :)

Anna joins us today to talk about one of her, and my, favourite subjects… shoes!

I think I’m rather well known in my family and in the blog world for my love of shoes. Wedding shoes used to be devoid of fashion. A separate plain arm of white clunky heeled monstrosities.

Luckily we are now presented with an array of beauties with which to press our perfectly manicured feet.

However shoes can either be of the most important to you or barely hitting your stress radar. So here a some delicious choices if you have many pennies to spend or if you want to spend mere pennies.

If you want to go down the more traditional route

I love those pretty Emmy’s and wow the heel of the other pair. Oh me oh my. Perfect for a short dress!

Emmy £445 Harriet Wilde £450

Finding more traditional shoes is more difficult when there are fewer pennies to spend. These are my best efforts.

Kurt Geiger £120 Rainbow Club £79

If you are looking for a little colour.

Hello fabulous.

Kurt Geiger £350

Oh Charlotte Olympia – one day I will own a pair of her shoes.

Charlotte Olympia £685 Jimmy Choo £795

Topshop – £52 A little of a Miu Miu copy – Topshop £55

How about something a little flatter?

French Sole £90 Aruna Seth £385

Sweet little hearts punched out of the blush pretties.

Topshop £19 Topshop £35

And finally perhaps a little crazy. I very much love those Louboutins. And well how about something fabulous for your something blue?

Louboutin £895 Thakoon £205  Marni £340

I’m not super in love with the ones on the left but I am sure there are some of you who will swoon!

Irregular Choice £90 Irregular Choice £60 Joules £33

How about you? What shoes are you lusting over for your wedding?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.

Loving those Aruna Seth pretties. I totally agree though – I found it so hard buying my shoes for my wedding 3 years ago – most of the dyeable ones are pretty atrocious and shops like Dune only seem to have them with 3 inch heels! Ended up getting lovely LK Bennett pale gold peeptoes which I added sparkly brooches to, but I’m pretty sure there’s a market there for mid priced pretty bridal shoes…

far from the wedding crowd

Thank you for having me, Louise.

I wanted huge heels but also knew I would never wear them all night. I love flats and adore spending my pennies on something a little special.

My favourite flats may have to be my Love Louboutins – I wish I’d had them for my wedding!
