victorian inspired wedding stationery

This month I get to talk to you twice, whoop! Aren’t you the luckiest things…

In a slight change from my usual features though, I want to tell you about a simply gorgeous wedding supplier you must have a look at if you’re tackling all things stationery on your wedmin journey.

It’s always tricksy: my job means I get to meet a whole heap of fantastically talented suppliers in any kind of field you could possibly imagine. That’s why I tend not to write about individual companies too often as I couldn’t be fair to all the glorious wedding people I’m lucky enough to meet. Sometimes though, you’ve got to break self-imposed rules and today I’m doing just that. Oh how very liberating!

I was working on a wedding day a few weeks ago when my husband called to tell me that the prettiest package had just arrived for me. He’s very definitely a boys’ boy so for him to remark on this shows you just how dazzling it was! Cue huge excitement – pretty snail mail is all too rare these days. Don’t you think? Or is that just me?

Ta-dah, it turned out to be a package from the utterly scrumptious Nikki Ward at Knots & Kisses Stationery with a preview of the brand-new K&K, hot off the press: branding, website, collections ‘n all.

If you know me, you know that I harbour a rather serious stationery addiction. Take me to another country and I don’t dive into the first shoe shop my eagle eye spots but instead it’s the stationery boutiques I could mooch around in for hours. Oh the delight of opening this little box of treasures then, so very thoughtfully (and generously!) selected and put together by Nikki.

I met Nikki a few years ago now (*clutchespearlsatthevanishingoftime*) and couldn’t rave about her more. She’s one of the most fantastically kind souls you could meet, someone who loves what she does, who is darn good at it, who doesn’t try to shove her couples into a one-size-fits-all box but instead listens properly and then works her cotton socks off to make sure her clients’ expectations aren’t just met but surpassed in every way.

I’ll leave the pictures and Nikki to speak for themselves and tell you the story of the brand-new Knots & Kisses, she can do that so much better than me. All I can say is if you’re in the market for wedding stationery, I couldn’t recommend Nikki more highly if I tried. And I’m not just saying that because I have a little crush on her totally epic red hair!

As Bridget Jones for Sit Up Britain would say: over to you, Nikki.

“I have been creating wedding stationery for the lovely couples I work with for 6 years now and over that time the style of the stationery I design has definitely evolved and developed. I still adore anything floral and all things colourful but the style has changed to something a little more elegant and refined. So about a year ago I decided that it was time for a rebrand! I wanted to create a new look that still said ‘Knots & Kisses’ to people – so I kept with my favourite colours of duck egg blue and red … I don’t think it would be Knots & Kisses without this … but added a much more elegant script style font and pretty watercolour florals.

To go with the rebrand I also wanted to create a matching website that was really user friendly for customers. I’ve always wanted to have a business which is all about being as flexible and friendly as possible – but I also wanted to give people a much easier and quicker way of ordering their wedding stationery. So, along with my web team, I have created a website where all of my bespoke packages and items of stationery can be ordered directly from the website. My ‘ off the peg’ ranges can therefore be ordered simply from each range’s page, with automatic discounts depending on the quantities of stationery you are ordering, and an easy checkout process with an inbuilt wording form so you can provide me with all the information you would like printing on your stationery. As always I still want to provide flexibility so by simply adding the £25 bespoke package to your basket along with the rest of your stationery I can do the range in a bespoke colour to match your wedding perfectly.

I’m also still all about being in touch with clients whenever they need me … so even if you have ordered a standard range online you will still receive a personal email to confirm your order and I send you pdf proofs so you can make any small changes necessary before printing.

The new website is all about making things easier for my customers and creating a stylish place for them to order their stationery.

Along with the new website I have added 3 brand new ranges of wedding stationery – Woodland, Nautical and Country Manor – and a new range of Notecard packs in pretty floral pastels.”

We’re smitten! To see more head over to and say hi to Nikki from us!!
