love shoot #65: a military wedding {jessica & jason}

Hello! Welcome to another gorgeous Wedding Wednesday on Bijoux Bride!

Today’s wedding is a little bit different, and a style of wedding I haven’t featured before.  Jessica and Jason married in a traditional military wedding at Friern Manor and their day was captured by the lovely Natasha of Margaurita Photography.

Jessica and Jason met six years ago through Jessica’s best friend (he is actually her best friends brother!).  After 12 months of dating, Jessica popped the question to Jason during their anniversary meal, knowing that he was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, awww!

The lucky bride wore not one, but two very special dresses created especially for her by her brother.  The first, a traditional ivory dropped waist dress with lace detailing is just so elegant!

The reception tables were set with romantic dusky pink and ivory roses, and Jessica collected beautiful picture frames for each table to display the table number.  Their beautiful iced cake by The Cake Collection was complimented by the most intricately decorated individual cake balls in pearlescent ivory and pink.

For the reception both the bride and groom changed outfits. Jessica slipping into this stunning red number, also designed by her brother!  I love the fluid silk, beautiful for dancing!

What was your first dance, and how did you choose the song?

We chose Luther Vandross “Here and Now” for our first dance. It’s such a beautiful song and the words are so meaningful. It was perfect for us.

Any advice for future brides?

My only advice for the future brides is to enjoy every moment and don’t let the little things bother you on your big day.

Congratulations Jessica and Jason! Thank you to Natasha from Magaurita Photography for sharing these beautiful images.  You can see Natasha’s latest work over on her blog.

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.

[…] I already knew which wedding that I wanted to submit, and I knew where I would love to see it. Plus, my brides work so hard to produce the BEST days that I would like to give them some love back to. So, I got the details of how to submit.Submitted. Then recieved an email – saying it was to be published!  I pulled out happy dance moves that MJ would have been proud of. This morning you can see my feature on the beautiful Bijoux Bride blog!  […]
