love shoot #7: a brief encounter {kristie & chris}
I’ve decided to shake things up a bit here on Bijoux Bride this week! I have so many beautiful shoots to share from some, frankly, amazing photographers that I decided to unleash them from my inbox and share not just one, but two lovely shoots this week! Tomorrow I will be featuring the serene and intimate wedding of Thanh & Yvan, by Chloe at Caught the Light. Can’t wait? Sneak peek coming up a bit later…
Anyways, back to today!
I’m always torn between simple and relaxed couple shoots, where the love and personalities of the couple shine through, and styled shoots, where I am drawn in by all the personal little details that tell a couple’s story. Fortunately for me, Kristie & Chris’s pre-wedding shoot is somewhere right in the middle!

These timeless images were captured by the lovely Maisie of Capture Photography. Capture Photography is Maisie and Angela, two photography graduates whose ethos is to show couples their wedding photo’s don’t have to be boring! A big thank you to Maisie for sharing.

The Severn Valley Railway station in Kidderminster provided the perfect backdrop to this shoot inspired by ‘A Brief Encounter’. Kristie wore a 1930’s inspired tea dress and hair piece, which adds to the timeless quality of the images.

I love romantic introductions as much as the next girl, you know, eyes meeting across a crowded room, knowing you’ve found ‘the one’? I’m also a bit of a realist, and know that the real world doesn’t always work out the way you thought. It doesn’t make the moment any less special.
Kristie & Chris met in a nightclub. Chris persued Kristie all night but she wouldn’t even take his number! Fortunately, after much persuasion from her sister, Kristie relented and let Chris take her out for dinner. Six years, and two beautiful babies later, Chris proposed on Christmas morning by hanging the ring box on the Christmas tree. He got down on one knee as their daughter delivered her mum a very special Christmas present. Awww!

The staff at the station even held a steam train at the station for a few minutes to allow them to get some classic parting shots at the end of the day.
Kristie & Chris revisited the station earlier this year, when they held their wedding celebrations just across the road! You can see their classic English wedding, complete with the bride’s DIY details here
Congratulations Kristie & Chris! Thank you so much for sharing your love with us!
This love shoot is adorable, so beautifully romantic and dreamy! The images are just stunning!
