love shoot #8: sweet & intimate {thanh & yvan}

Everything about this wedding is so cute, the gorgeous bride, her pretty tea-length dress, the excitement in the groom’s eyes on the way to the ceremony, and the wonderful family & friends who gathered in Zurich to celebrate Thanh & Yvan’s love.

Thanh & Yvan asked Chloe from Caught the Light to travel over to Switzerland to capture the memories of the day.  I have been a fan of Chloe’s work for a while, her clean and modern style and use of natural light really appeals to me.  Thank you Chloe for sharing!

Chloe shares some of her thoughts on the day:

Thanh wore the prettiest little dress,  which she hunted high and low for.

I think she looked perfect. Short dresses can make beautiful wedding gowns, they are a little more informal and relaxed so really suit more intimate, and outdoor weddings.  Thanh’s tea-length dress was perfectly matched to their garden party reception.

Thanh opted to keep her accessories cute and simple, with a flower hair accessory and a beautiful clutch bag.

The bride & groom chose to get ready together, they were both the picture of calm, with a little edge of excitement.

Swiss civil ceremonies last just fifteen minutes, even when in French and English, which leaves plenty of time for tea and sightseeing on vintage trams!

Isn’t she just the sweetest bride?

Thanh & Yvan travelled to the reception venue with their guests, enjoying breakfast and a few photo opportunities along the way.  They had fun sharing this beautiful city with their loved ones.

After the ceremony they held an intimate lunchtime reception for family & friends at the Belvoir Restaurant, overlooking Lake Zurich.

Thanh put a lot of thought into the details of her day, finding these cute kitchen utensil favours, to reflect her love of cooking!

Oh, the cake! Macaroons sum up everything about this wedding, soft, delicate and oh, so sweet!

Doesn’t it just make you want to run off to Zurich?  I’m booking my ticket now!

Thanh & Yvan, I wish you many sweet and happy years together.
