love shoot: autumn leaves & tweed {jo & dave}

Hello beautiful brides!

Today’s beautiful couple Jo & Dave are the perfect fit for b.loved.  Just two months after meeting, they realised they were destined to be together and Dave proposed.  Their wedding will be a celebration of everything I believe marriage to be, a celebration of two people’s personalities and love.

For their autumnal engagement shoot, they took a walk through the woodlands with photographer Charlotte Palazzo.  The golden sunshine through the trees and the gentle love captured between these two create a beautiful warmth to the images.

We met 17 months ago through a mutual friend and it was love at first joke. After just two months of much laughter, Dave realised he’d found his soulmate and proposed marriage. His original plan was to ask me to marry him on stage at a gig of our favourite band, Detroit Social Club. Dave had made the necessary arrangements with the singer of the band, but as the date approached, he had a severe case of stage fright and decided against it, popping the question on bended knee in the comfort of his own living room. Of course, after the initial surprise, I accepted. We did get a mention at the gig too though!

We’re having a winter wedding, held at a small and intimate local chapel, steeped in charm and history, with guiding principles of love and reason, freedom and respect, peace and justice.  The wedding breakfast and evening reception are being held at a country house hotel not far away, with magnificent views of the countryside. We decided on a shabby chic theme for the wedding, mainly due to my fascination with anything old, hence my childhood nickname ‘Jumble Jo’.  Scouring the charity shops for hidden treasure that we could use as table decorations has been a real labour of love!

We’re both excited about the wedding and look forward to a day that reflects our personalities, an informal gathering filled with lots of laughter…and love of course!

I can’t wait to see their wedding pictures!
