love shoot: hyde park save the date {clare & rob}

Happy Tuesday brides, grooms and wedding lovers!

Such a lovely sunny engagement shoot to share this morning.  Clare and Rob decided to use their engagement shoot to create some natural, loved-up photo’s to use for their save the dates.  On a balmy summer’s evening during the Olympics, they headed to Hyde Park with photographer Sarina Scheepers, where the dreamy golden light created a  romantic atmosphere for their shoot.  I love the subtle red, white & blue colours, such a great nod to our great Team GB.  Oh, and say hello to the cheeky squirrel who popped in to say hi too!

Here’s their story from Clare ~

We met in a nightclub in Chelmsford on the first Friday of the new year in 2007 so there was hardly anyone there! We got chatting about different countries we’d visited and how much we love travelling.

The proposal was in Barcelona last April. Rob  had booked a beautiful 5 star hotel there for my birthday as he knew I had never been and wanted to go. We were staying on the top floor overlooking the city. Rob had been before so had planned exactly where he thought I would like to visit. On the second night after a lovely day of sightseeing we got back to the hotel room and that’s when he popped the question! He wanted us to go out the next day and choose an engagement ring but all the shops shut on a Sunday so we came back to Chelmsford and chose a ring from a jewellers that was equidistant from the nightclub we met in and where we had had our first date!

We wanted a winter wedding so decided to try and organise ours in six months. It’s been a bit hectic but everything is sorted apart from the DJ and the groom’s outfit!  Seeing as we love travelling (and I love Orangutans!) we are going to Borneo on our honeymoon however Rob has suggested we stop in Tokyo first as I used to live there and he knows how much I would love to go back and show him the sights. I am so lucky to have such a thoughtful husband-to-be!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

You’ll also find me working as an Editorial Stylist, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as contributing as a founding member of bridal inspiration hub Aisle Society, and running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive from our super pretty base in London. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
