love shoot: I clucking love you {cesca & ben}
Hello lovelies! Welcome back to another two-shoot-Tuesday! I just couldn’t resist the silly title this morning, as Cesca & Ben’s engagement shoot took place at home with their beloved chickens! This is just such a fun way to include something you love into your shoot – even if chickens are a bit unpredictable – they got some cute and playful shots! After playing with the chickens they headed off into the countryside around their home for some more relaxed shots in the fields. Thanks to Gemma from Betti Confetti Photography for sharing!
I met Ben years ago at Bristol University when playing in a mixed ‘silly hat’ hockey tournament. I had never learnt to play hockey at school so was somewhat shady on the rules and, on breaking one of them I angered some over-competitive 4th year – Ben swept in to calm the guy down on my behalf. I didn’t think much of him at the time (he was wearing a horrendous orange wig) but a year later found myself bemoaning my single status to a mutual friend who called him and arranged a date. That was over six and a half years ago!
Ben completely threw me with the proposal, throwing everything that he had at it. He arranged the whole thing: booked us Eurostar tickets to Paris, arranged a hotel and organised day trips and nights out and buying the all important ring (which is totally gorgeous and absolutely what I would have picked for myself).
We were walking one morning, rather aimlessly along the River Seine, and I stopped to take a timed photo of us on my new posh camera. Ben asked me to take another one (a surprise as he loathes having his pic taken) and I duly obliged. At that moment he got down on bended knee and asked the question. The fuzzy moment is caught for posterity and in the same instance I said “YES” we heard a huge scream in the air, as a bunch of teenage girls sailed past us on a Bateaux Mouche. Hilarious.

No chickens were harmed in the making of this engagement shoot :)
Louise, thanks SO much for the feature! It’s great to see the pics on your beautiful blog :)
The title made me laugh so much – & so suited to how much fun these two are! xx
