love shoot: in london style {rachel & richard}

Morning lovelies! We’re jumping straight back into it this morning after a relaxing Bank Holiday weekend (more on that soon!)..

I’m so pleased to welcome the lovely Eddette of Purple Apple Studios back to these b.loved pages. Eddette submitted Rachel and Richard’s stylish London engagement shoot featuring their gorgeous daughter Amelia a few weeks ago, and I’m a sucker for a shoot with this much cute-factor! For couples marrying with children, it’s such a lovely thing to include them not just in your day, but also the fun bits of the planning!

Here’s the lovely Rachel with their story ~

We were introduced through a mutual friend of ours, who set us up and we arranged to meet outside Farringdon Tube! We had a great night, had copious wine and ended up out till 2am. We saw each other most nights for the following few days and Rich had moved in within 6 months. I knew as soon as I met him that I would marry him!

Rich had planned to propose on the Great Wall of China. We travelled to Hong King when I was 16 weeks pregnant, but unfortunately I had some complications in my pregnancy and had to spend 4 weeks on bedrest, so we never made it to Beijing. Rich had bought a gorgeous diamond ring and he was due to fly home to London, but as I was unable to fly I was staying with my sister in Hong Kong. Before Rich left for the airport he came in with an envelope, I cried and said I would read the letter when he left as it would make me too sad to read it now, however he insisted and when I opened it, which I did and inside there was a card with a beautiful heart on it and an amazing diamond fell out!

Our wedding is taking place in a beautiful church in the village where I grew up. My Grandfather was the vicar of the church and my Dad grew up in the vicarage. We are being married by my Uncle, who also go married in the same church! Within the wedding service we are having our daughter and nephew christened. The reception is at Manor House school with a beautiful sage green theme. We can’t wait for the big day now, but have lots left to do!!

We loved every minute of the engagement shoot, Eddette made us feel very much at ease. It was great fun being down on the Southbank and it great to have all the big landmarks in the back of the shots. We live nearby so it is a lovely momento of our time living in Central London. Our little girl, Amelia, enjoyed the shoot too! The pictures we have got back are amazing and I can’t wait to have some printed. My sister has even booked Eddette to capture her family since seeing how good the pictures are!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
