love shoot: isabella plantation engagement session {lwin & ben}

Morning readers!  Another two gorgeous love shoots to share with you today, each one with a completely different style and story!  This morning I’m delighted to welcome friends Funmi and Adrian from FO Photography to b.loved with Lwin & Ben’s pretty Isabella Plantation engagement shoot.  As a London girl living just a stone’s throw from Richmond Park and the beautiful Isabella Plantation, this one’s close to my heart!  I love how Lwin and Ben chose to subtly incorporate their wedding colours of yellow and blue into their outfits, which coordinate so prettily with the soft springtime blooms of the plantation.

Lwin shares their story ~

Ben and I met during our “Access to Nursing” course. We were friends at first but then quickly moved onto the next stage after he baked me a white chocolate cheesecake. For a good few months, my friends called him the cheesecake boy! Shh don’t tell him :) After 6 months, We exchanged our ‘I love yous’ after watching the movie, Juno – I was crying my eyes out and he turned around and said “I love you” – not the most romantic settings – mascara running everywhere.  Shortly after that, we moved in, started our Nursing courses and then got engaged. It’s hard to describe ‘us’ in words, you have to be around us to truly understand what we are like. There is never a dull moment, we are constantly laughing and in our own little bubble. He is my soul mate, my best friend and the one I look up to.

I’ve always been the type of girl that used to cringe at the thought of a public proposal so I was relieved when Ben proposed to me – it was in our flat, with tea lights every where…he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife before I answered, I blew out the candles – safety first and then of course I said yes!!

Our talented Photographers, Funmi and Adrian from FO Photography are just one of the most amazing couples that we have been blessed to meet! They’re so warm and friendly and made our shoot at Isabella plantation such an unforgettable experience.   The weather on the day was very typically British. We left the park before the great downpour which was lucky for me as I spent an hour and half doing my hair!  We wanted incorporate the theme of our wedding, a country vintage garden wedding to our shoot.  Yellow is a key colour to our wedding and so is 1950s dresses! Hence, my yellow cardigan and floral dress!

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
