love shoot: love is beautiful {luisa & ashton}

Morning gorgeous ones! I’m so thrilled to share the work of one of my favourite South African wedding photographers today, Catherine Mac (who’s work I previously featured in Jennifer & Shaun’s beach chic wedding a couple of weeks ago) has a way of working with natural light that is just so pretty! Add to the mix a gorgeous newly-engaged couple, Luisa and Ashton, and the result is one beautiful, natural and relaxed shoot.  I am sure Luisa and Ashton have quite a few of these amazing photos hanging on their walls!

Luisa tells their cute proposal story ~

We met through my cousin who was one of Ashton’s good friends, and then went on to becoming best friends ourselves. We started dating a year after we met, for 5 years. He proposed over a weekend away in Stellenbosch where he re-enacted our first ever date. He blindfolded me and took me on a mini excursion around the hotel we were staying at and when eventually asked me to remove the blindfold – he was on one knee with the ring in one hand a bottle of my favourite champagne in the other. We went on to have the picnic with the exact same snacks he had prepared on our first date.  It was just perfect!

 Luisa and Ashton got married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Mofam River Lodge, just outside Cape Town in a rustic-glam celebration.  You can see their day over on Southbound Bride!

Aren’t these two just so dreamy?

After a decade-long career in corporate interior design, I took a giant leap of faith, left the security of an office job, and founded B.LOVED in 2011 as a platform for romantic and beautiful wedding inspiration. Thanks to a whole lot of creativity, hard work and passion, my gamble paid off and B.LOVED became one of the leading wedding blogs in the UK.

I'm also a co-founder at The Brand Studio, where I design and curate beautiful photoshoots for wedding and lifestyle brands, as well as running wedding industry community the B.LOVED Hive where I support and nurture wedding pros building industry leading businesses. Yep, I definitely have the best job in the world.
